Jewish Community Relations Council

Building relationships. Connecting communities. Meeting challenges.

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) is a nonprofit public affairs agency working on behalf of the Southern New Jersey community, representing synagogues and Jewish organizations on critical issues affecting Jews as individuals and as a community. JCRC creates consensus and leads advocacy efforts in the organized Jewish community, ensuring that our voices are amplified and heard. We build bridges with other faith, interest, and ethnic based groups that share our passion for social justice, forging relationships based on the issues our community cares about most. JCRC of Southern New Jersey is one of 125 Jewish Community Relations Councils in the country. Together, these JCRCs form the grassroots of the national umbrella organization, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs

Who We Are

Meet our Board of Directors and staff!

What We Do

As the umbrella body for local member organizations, synagogues, and at-large members appointed by the Jewish Federation, JCRC unifies, mobilizes, represents, and is responsible to the Southern New Jersey community.

Programs and Services

News and Information Resources

JCRC of Southern New Jersey partners with other community and educational organizations on a wide range of programs.

Goodwin Holocaust Museum and Education Center

Our mission is to teach people about the past and to educate them for the future through the painful lessons of the Holocaust. Our objective is to reduce prejudice and lessen hatred, bigotry, bullying, and violence against all groups.

Too many young children right here in our own backyard never have the chance to hear a bedtime story. BookMates is an interfaith literacy program that provides services to Title I elementary schools in low and moderate income communities throughout Southern New Jersey.

JCRC's mission is to serve as the voice of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey on issues of public policy, social advocacy, and community outreach. We strive to foster constructive relationships within the Jewish community and among people of all faiths and cultures regarding Jewish and Israel oriented issues.
