Feeling connected to Jewish identity and Israel is often a challenge for American Jewish teens. Twins Asher and Lara Weinstein of Haddonfield traveled this past winter to Israel for the first time, a trip made possible through the Jewish Federation’s Gift of Israel cooperative savings program. They both describe their visit as “a life-changing experience” and credit it for strengthening their pride and identity of being a Jew.

Seventy- five year-old Murray Meyerwitz takes pride in his job, stationed at the control desk and checking members in. For Murray, he never realized how Jewish Federation’s agencies would touch his life until he lost his best friend and wife, Gloria.
