The Haggadah and Youth:  Practical Ways to Engage Teens at the Seder 

 

This class will look at the seder from an educational perspective, showing how our Rabbis integrated different learning styles in telling the story of the Exodus.  This will be followed by a discussion on practical strategies and techniques for engaging teens at the seder.

 

Rabbi Jonah Lerner --9 p.m.

Rabbi Jonah Lerner is Director of the New Jersey NCSY region’s Southern District.  He runs shabbatonim, works with day schools, and runs Jewish Student Union clubs in public schools.  He has directed one of the countries largest “Latte and Learning” programs and led summer Israel programs.  Rabbi Lerner’s expertise includes recruitment, parent and community relations, programming, development, one-on-one advisor-NCSYer relationship building, counseling, and crisis intervention.
