The  human relations and public policy agency of the Jewish Federation. Its constituents are nearly all of the Jewish and religious social welfare and fraternal organizations in the tri-county region. The Goodwin Holocaust Museum and Education Center (GHMEC) is a department of the JCRC. BookMates, an early childhood reading-mentoring program for disadvantaged children, is its major social justice project. The JCRC, in partnership with the Diocese of Camden, created the Catholic-Jewish Commission of Southern NJ, which operates the Catholic-Jewish Institute of Understanding (an adult education program). The JCRC promotes understanding and support for Israel; fosters interfaith relations and international human rights; seeks to combat anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, and abuses of civil rights; and teaches the history and lessons of the Holocaust. It maintains a Speakers' Bureau on Israel, the Holocaust, and other subjects.
