Part Time Employment Specialist:

Seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to work as an Employment Specialist within the Supported Employment Program. The main objective of this position is to work with individuals with disabilities and their families, to help them obtain and maintain meaningful employment.

 

The primary focus of this position is placement of JFCS’s Culinary Training Program graduates.  Responsibilities include performing Intake and Situational Assessments, Job Development and Job Coaching for adults with a variety of disabilities. Individual will facilitate relationships with businesses within the community and must have excellent communication skills to work with a wide variety of populations; including employers, co-workers, clients with disabilities, family members and other professional staff.

 

Qualifications include: Must be able to work independently, highly organized, flexible, good problem solver and communicator, creative, can take initiative, as well as have an understanding of how to work with individuals with diverse abilities.  Experience working in the field of Supported Employment is a plus, but willing to train.  Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
