Emily Gold

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m from Mount Laurel, NJ. I served on my synagogue’s youth group board all throughout high school, and was an active NFTY participant. I went to Drexel University for graphic design, and now I’m back home in NJ! I try to stay active in the Jewish community through volunteer opportunities with JFCS and staying in touch with my synagogue family. I’m excited about NextGen because I haven’t had a ton of opportunities to meet more Jewish young professionals in my area, and I think this is the perfect way to do so!! In my free time I love visiting friends and family, hanging with my cats, and doing Zumba via Zoom!

Alicia Rosenbaum

My name is Alicia Rosenbaum. I am originally from Mt. Laurel, NJ. I started as a leader in high school in my BBYO chapter. Now, I am currently pursuing my masters in Jewish education at the Jewish Theological Seminary and working as a preschool teacher in a synagogue.  I am also on the ADL regional Associate Board, a Onetable Shabbat host, led a NFTY trip to Israel, and ran a Moishe House retreat.  Other than being a part of the Jewish community, I love ice-skating, reading, and cooking.

Julia Rothkoff

Julia Rothkoff is from Cherry Hill and is passionate about promoting Yiddish culture. She graduated from Barnard College in 2020 with a BA in film studies and is currently pursuing her MA in Jewish studies at Columbia University. She is excited to join NextGen to make connections with other recent college graduates in the area. Julia regularly presents about Yiddish culture for JFCS and looks forward to bringing her interest in Yiddish to NextGen. Outside of academics, Julia enjoys baking sourdough bread and knitting sweaters.
