The Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey's largest annual phone-a-thon style fundraiser, Super Sunday, is back!
Super Sundays are hosted nationally by Jewish Federations across North America. For our Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey, it’s the single biggest fundraising event and good deeds day of the year. Nearly $750,000 is raised in just one week — over one-third of our annual goal for the entire year.
Fundraising for the Jewish Federation allows us and our family of agencies to continue to operate and expand upon the many important programs and services offered for people in need in South Jersey and around the world across five Areas of Impact: Older Adults, Disability Services, Global Connections, Community Engagement, and Family & Youth.
In addition to volunteers making Super Sunday calls, community members can participate in the following:
- Mitzvah projects, in collaboration with PJ Library, for families with children ages 12 and under
- Blood drive
- Mensches with Wrenches: Handyman projects for Saltzman Residents

Schedule:
9am-7pm: Make Super Sunday calls | At the Katz JCC 3-hour shifts are available: 10-1pm, 1-4pm, 4-7pm, and all day. Between 9-10, there will be volunteer check-in in the JCC lobby and training.
9am-3pm: Blood drive | Book a time slot to donate blood through Magen David Adom.
1pm: Mensches with Wrenches at Saltzman House | Men and women can complete light handyman-type projects in older adult residences.
1-3pm: Participate in our PJ Library Mitzvah Program for families with children ages 12 and under (join for one time slot: 1-2pm or 2-3pm) | This program includes storytime and mitzvah projects based on our Areas of Impact (Older Adults, Disability Services, Global Connections, Community Engagement, and Family & Youth). Be a part of our mission to impact the local community and beyond!
There are other opportunities to make calls during the week before Super Sunday.
