Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum

At Temple Har Zion, we consider ourselves to be spiritual seekers and learners. We consider G!d to be an active presence in our lives, accessible to all of us. We create a warm and supportive environment that inspires people to celebrate our ancient and sacred connections. 

Temple Har Zion is delighted to welcome Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum as our new spiritual leader, starting in July, 2017. Rabbi Tiferet offers a warm, open, and welcoming presence; she has experience as a congregation rabbi and a strong background in Jewish education.

Our twice a month renewal services-in-the-round with chanting, meditation, and drumming will continue with Rabbi Tiferet. These are lively, joyous events that will have you on your feet singing, dancing, swaying, and praying as you've never imagined you would.

At Temple Har Zion, we see prayer not as something that happens on the bima on our behalf, but that it is most meaningful when we do it actively, from the heart, in community. We participate actively with the rabbi and find a deep, spiritual connection doing so.

Temple Har Zion is committed to remaining a small congregation. We find that our congregants appreciate the opportunity for everyone to be actively involved in all facets of synagogue life.
