Temple Beth El of Hammonton is an independent, welcoming synagogue, comprised of dedicated members and friends from Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, and Atlantic counties. We have been meeting the needs of the Jewish community since 1934, providing services and celebrations in our historic building in Hammonton since 1937 and recently expanding to monthly gatherings in Haddonfield, NJ. We are a warm and inclusive community; committed to honoring tradition along with a creative, meaningful, and progressive Judaism. Temple Beth El embraces the deeply spiritual and mystical approach of Jewish Renewal; integrating ancient wisdom and traditions with modern values, creative liturgy, music, and spirituality. We hold High Holy Day and twice monthly Shabbat services (check our website for specific dates) and observe most holidays of the Jewish year with monthly community gatherings. Our religious school meets weekly on Sundays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, and we offer individualized Bar/Bat Mitzvah services for teens and adults, as well as adult education programming.

Through meaningful prayer and ritual practice, education and Torah, community involvement, and spiritual activism, we strive to deepen our understanding and connection to tradition while engaging in a joyful and relevant Judaism. As our priority is to welcome all those seeking Jewish connection, our dues are extremely affordable and no one is ever turned away for financial reasons. No tickets are required for guests at our High Holy Days Services, although donations are appreciated.

Come be a part of our community and experience a Judaism that brings meaning to your mind, and joy to your soul. Our inclusive and friendly congregation will be sure to make you and your loved ones feel at home. Please see our website and Facebook for more information.
